What is an assisted living community?
An assisted living community is a specialized combination of housing, personalized support services and health care.  They are designed to respond to the individual needs of its residents who need help in activities of daily living while promoting the maximum level of independence and dignity.  These communities are licensed and monitored by the state.    top

Do I sign a lease?
Our apartments are rented on a month-to-month basis through a signed resident agreement.  An application fee in the amount of $500.00 will reserve the apartment of your choice until you move in (up to 14 days).  Should your plans change and you are unable to move in, you will be refunded one-half of the application fee.    top

My doctor is across town.  Will you help me keep my appointments?
Absolutely.  We are committed to help maintain your independence while you live here.  One way of accomplishing this is by connecting you with the community.  In addition, certain local physicians will provide on-site appointments to meet your needs.  The Courtyards at Lake Granbury is equipped with on-site exam rooms.  top

Can the Courtyards meet my special therapeutic dietary needs?
The Courtyards has retained the services of a registered dietician.  We can tailor a diet plan specifically for your medical needs.  Although we will cook low sodium, low fat meals as ordered by your physician, you can take comfort in the fact that our regular menu is quite health-conscious, as well.   top

Do you have 24-hour security?
Yes.  We staff our community 24-hours a day at personnel levels exceeding the Texas Department of Health requirements.  Our resident assistant staff is available on-site day and night to meet our residents needs.  Also, the management staff is on call 24-hours a day.  All exterior exits are equipped with sensors that notify the staff any time the door opens.  top

What if I am ill or have a medical emergency?
Each apartment unit is equipped with a state-of-the-art emergency call system.  Additionally, each resident will be provided with a pendant that can be easity carried thoughout the community.  This means that you have immediate access to our staff should the need arise.  Our emergency response system alerts help immediately and identifies your location within the community.  top

Can I cook in my apartment?
Sure.  While the Courtyards provides 3 meals each day, each apartment comes equipped with a microwave and a full-sized refrigerator.  top
